The Mismatch Girl

The second alarm of 8:30 had also gone unnoticed and Shubha was still in her bed. Ma’s voice jolted her out.

“Oh God! I’m late for my music class…”

But why was she not rushing???

Silently and slowly she picked up her blue towel and went for bath. When she came out she was wearing a yellow kurti with bottle green salwar. Her wet golden brown hair were drooping on her shoulders.  She was truly alive for a new day.

Oh! but why is she wearing one white and one black footwear???

For Shubha all colours are same - Black!!!

The prompt of "Colored" at WOW  and the prompt of "Truly Alive" for  100 words On Saturday at WT

    How sad! With all the colors why did you have to make everything 'black'

    For her all colours are black. I didn't see that coming. I thought it is going to have some funny climax. It wasn't. :(

    I liked the way you went about the post. Loved the ending specially? But is this for real? Are some people blind towards all colors?

      Thanks Jini ...Basically Shubha is blind so she only sees black

    Hmm I dint realise taht she was blind - maybe if you had added that somehwere in the end the story would hv had tht wow effect.

    Err jus said cause I firmly think u had such a wow story here n just tht extra line would hv made a huge diff
